If you are on the lookout for the perfect bathroom tiles for your Essex property and own a smartphone, it’s very likely you have been searching for the perfect porcelain on social media sites such as Pinterest and Instagram.
According to a Shutterfly report published in Architectural Digest, celebrity accounts are often a source of inspiration for interior design professionals, as well as DIYers, with former First Lady Michelle Obama’s account being followed by 5,451 of the 40,000 design experts surveyed, followed by Girls writer and star Lena Dunham, pop star Rihanna, and movie star-turned aspirational living guru Gwyneth Paltrow.
The publication believes it is Obama’s love of photographing the personal touches that make her rented Washington house a family home for her, her husband Barack and their two daughters.
The Independent reports that data compiled by Verve Search has also indicated hot accounts that are being followed within the interior design space, such as Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gigi Hadid and Victoria Beckham.
But the designer labels need not put a home improver off in their quest for enviable style, as the design inspiration you find online can be put to use to pick and choose what style of bathroom you would like, giving you time to cross-compare lookalike finishing touches and fixtures to suit your space, style and bank balance.
We could all use a little inspiration now and then, so the Independent recommends jumping on the Instagram follower bandwagon with Markham Roberts (@markhamroberts), Joe Lucas (@harbingerla) and Sara Costello (@sararuffincostello), among others.
