If you saw colour expert Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2018, you might not have been so inspired to buy the best bathroom tiles Hertfordshire has to offer in the bright purple Ultra Violet shade. However, social media site Pinterest has come up with its own colour for 2018, and this one might be a little more palatable.
Instead of the vivacious purple of Pantone’s colour choice, Pinterest’s is far more restrained - a beautiful shade of sage green. According to Daily Mail, the grey/green hue has received a boost of pins saved by 170 per cent from those looking for interior inspiration.
Sage is a colour that has strong kitchen connotations, so tiles in this colour are a safe bet for an on-trend kitchen. However, the way that sage is being adopted by interiors influencers is by using it as their new neutral.
If you’re tired of grey, it’s a good bet, and it also sets off the trend for an abundance of indoor plants by layering up different hues of green. Sage green also looks fantastically modern in combination with monochrome, so a statement black and white tile would be a perfect mate for this wall colour.
Other trends from Pinterest’s 2018 report include white tiles and ‘spa-style bathrooms’, really looking at making this room of the house a light, bright retreat. Adding luxury touches to the bathroom will help this space feel less functional and more of a room to relax in during the next year.
